approach

Our Approach is based on the fundamental premise that there are several ways to achieve a desired outcome.  While we have defined methods, and can make suggestions, we are flexible to partner with you in a way that meets your needs, possibly with varying degrees of our involvement.  We believe this attitude and flexibility is a differentiating point.

Our methods are designed to:

  • Define and distribute accountability for the parts
  • Clarify roles & responsibilities
  • Create the needed level of visibility
  • Obtain ownership with your people, not create dependencies on consultants
  • Ensure sustainability

Assessment of your current state

When conducting an improvement initiative, it’s important to align your team and baseline your starting point such that you can define a to-be vision, scope, and measure your progress as you implement the changes.  Complete Assessments also determine which metrics need to be improved, and by how much over what period of time.  A committed business case with the accountability in the right places is helpful when the implementation faces challenges, and will be needed to demonstrate the value the project has created.  We have many years of experience and a mature assessment methodology that is comprised of qualitative and quantitative techniques.  Please see more about our Assessments and this blog post.  We’d be happy to discuss which types of studies would fit your situation and show you examples of outputs.

Change implementation

We help clients with the design and implementation of change initiatives that involve people, process, and technology.  The fact is, change is difficult.  The day-to-day challenges of running the business can often make it difficult to focus on improvement projects.  It can also be difficult to influence behavior in interfacing departments.  We have seen it many times and can bring focus, structure, and accountability to a turbulent environment.  Together, we will define an approach that fits your business situation, required time for results realization, and resource constraints.

Sometimes investing in a consultant is required to get the needed attention in the organization.

Ideally a change project is grounded in an aligning Assessment for the reasons described above, but we can jump in to help you at any point in the process.  Possible approaches range from larger integrated, multi-stream/site projects, to ones that prioritize focus in a serial manner.  We work with your team to lead design workshops, training sessions, and work throughout interfacing functions drawing from a robust change management toolkit.  We find that organizations have differing levels of change management requirements, and we work with you to develop a program that fits your need.

Please see more on our change management methodology.

Coaching

Sometimes clients have leaders and resources in place to implement improvements and do not need or want consultants on the ground on a regular basis.  They may want occasional coaching on best practices, change management, or other items.  We can work with your project leaders and/or others as you desire to help in this regard.  We can do this on-site or through our Virtual Consultant service.

Training

Some projects just need some initial alignment setting to get them going and our training programs may be just the thing to generate that alignment and momentum.  Nexview has developed and mature training material that not only cover the subject matter material, but also include our consulting and change management methodologies/tools that we have used with major corporations all over the world.  An initial training effort could be customized to your need and if desired, combined with occasional follow-up coaching. Please see more on our training programs.
